A Critique of the Correction of Arabic Poems in the Tārikhnāmeh Harat (from Seifi Heravi) by Gholamreza Tabatabai Majd (Necessity of Correcting the Book Again)

Abstract
The prose of the Tārikhnāmeh Harat by Seifi Heravi is mixed with Persian and Arabic verses that fit the subject in the text. The book has nearly three hundred Arabic verses, and Gholamreza Tabatabai Majd has corrected this book once again. His correction of these Arabic verses is in many cases incomplete and wrong. In this paper, we divide these errors into five groups: Morphological and syntactic errors, Wrong attribution of poems to their narrators, Diacritic errors, Failure to recognize the last letter of the rhyming word and Vocabulary typing errors and with critically and descriptively analyze, we have reviewed the verses that fall under each group. We have tried to show by referring to the Court of Poems, reference books and Persian and Arabic dictionaries how the corrector made a mistake in each of these cases and what was the source of this error. The corrector's syntactic and grammatical errors are often the result of not recognizing the syntactic role of words and phrases, not recognizing the tense of verbs, the root of verbs, and the form of verbs. Diacritic errors and Failure to recognize the last letter of the rhyming word are due to inaccuracy in the weight of the poem and the rules of the rhyme and wrong mistakes in attributing poems to narrators are due to not referring to the poet's divan, reference books and valid encyclopedias. We have quoted every Arabic verse from its original source in his Court of Poems or from reference books and we have expressed Gholamreza Tabatabai Majd’s correction and after reviewing his correction and showing his errors and bugs, we have presented our proposed translation of the verse.
